NOW HIRING: THEATRE INTERNS

We’re looking for responsible, enthusiastic interns to join our team for our upcoming Theatre Camp season. This is a hands-on opportunity to work in a professional theatre environment and gain real-world experience in arts education and production.

Intern responsibilities include assisting with daily operations, supervising campers and students, helping lead warm-ups, supporting choreography and/or costume needs, assisting backstage during tech rehearsals and performances, helping with props, and supporting audience check-in during shows.

Interns should be comfortable working full days, enjoy working with Children &Teenagers, and be able to model professional theatre etiquette and work ethic. Experience in costuming, dance, or production is a plus, but not required.

This position involves a mix of active work and “hurry up and wait” time  just like real theatre and is ideal for students interested in theatre, arts education, or stage production.

Development Director

JOB TITLE: Development Director
REPORTS TO: Executive Producer
JOB TYPE: Exempt
PAY TYPE: Salaried ($35,000-$40,000)
SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position is responsible for raising and securing all development revenue for Theatre Arlington. This includes, but is not limited to grants, personal donations, corporate donations, corporate sponsorships, fundraisers and special events. This position also works closely with the board of directors in fund sits on the resource development committee. This position works closely with the Executive Producer in establishing and building relationships with community philanthropists and corporations to build intertest in TA in the community.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

– Raising and securing development revenue as dictated by the budget and annual fundraising goals.
– Finding, researching, preparing, and executing all grant and foundation requests.
– Oversee and manage and future TA Capital Campaign.
– Overseeing and working with TA board resource development committee on all fundraising and
special events. (Annual Campaign, Theatre Arlington Gala/Game Night etc.)
– Communicating with TA board of directors all correspondence necessary to keep board informed of
all pertinent information.
– Join civic and social organizations to establish and build relationships with both corporate and
community leaders.
– Develop (with Executive Producer and Business Manager) and manage the development budget.
Deliver on all development activity within the approved budget.
– Contribute to the total effectiveness of Theatre Arlington, communicate openly, solving problems
proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member.
– Schedule public appearances for staff, accept speaking engagements to share information about TA
with the community.
– Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems
– Develop and maintain a planned giving program
– Meet and identify prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis.
– Oversee creation of publications to support fundraising initiatives.
– Demonstrate professional conduct at all times
– Maintain gift recognition and stewardship programs.
– All other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Degree in Communications, Theatre, Non-profit Management or other related field
– Development Experience
– Previous experience in a similar work setting
– Experience with Givesmart
– Experience with Linked In
