CLASSES |
Theatre Arlington’s Adult and Children’s Theatre School (A.C.T.S.) utilizes a progressive curriculum in order for students to build upon what they have learned in a previous class or level and reach their potential as students of theatre and the performing arts.
Class offerings in Private Voice, Dance and Piano add variety and opportunities for students to grow outside of traditional acting or musical theatre classes.

Creative Play |

An introduction to the world of theater and performing through the use of games, activities, and creative play. Students learn how to work and play together to put on a performance in which everyone plays an important part. |

A review of the concepts learned in Acting I, and the learning of monologues, improvisation, characterization, auditioning techniques, scene work, performing and developing related skills. **Prerequisite: previous acting level or special permission from Education Director. |

Advanced Acting** |

An in-depth study of acting and being an actor, incorporating journaling, writing monologues, and self-analysis for students who have an interest in a career in the theatre. **Prerequisite: previous acting level or special permission from Education Director. |

Acting for Teens** |

A flexible acting class for teenagers. Its structure is flexible because it will require the assessment of the instructor in order to teach to the abilities and experiences of the students. Study should focus on basic stage direction, scene study, monologues, characterization and performance. **Prerequisite: previous acting level or special permission from Education Director. |

Granny, who has retired from show business, will be honoring all of our favorite fairy tale characters!
Who will win Best Female Vocalist? Best Male Vocalist? Best Dramatic Scene?
Best Choreography? Best Rap? And the most coveted Best Villain Award?
Tune in to see and hear your favorite performers! And don't forget to keep an eye on that nasty Big Bad Wolf,
as he tries to steal the treasured Granny Award during the show!

Taking a break from school is awesome! Especially, when it means you can test your acting chops in Theatre Arlington’s Spring Break Camp 2021!
For ages 6-14, this all-day, Monday-Friday camp will culminate in a musical performance of The Granny Awards.
At this time, there will be no live performance for friends and family BUT all students will receive a video of their performance to take home.

INTERNSHIPS |
Theatre Arlington is looking for a few good interns for our educational summer camps. These are paid internships for qualified high school and college students who are motivated to work with kids and are passionate about theatre, with all its glamour and all its dirt, literally. ACT UPS |
Applied Creative Thinking Using Performance Skills |
Developed in 1996, as a partnership with the Arlington Independent School District to target culturally diverse, at-risk students, the ACT UPS program now reaches more than 1,500 at-risk 4th or 5th grade children each year at Title 1 Elementary Schools within the AISD. The ACT UPS Program will proudly celebrate its 24th anniversary during the 2019-2020 school year!
